Arthur W. Bartholomew IV - President/Founder, Arthur is the President and Founder of Sun National Title & Escrow. Mr. Bartholomew’s vision was to create a first class National Platform to cater to Institutional Investors, Default Servicers, Originators as well as local real estate professionals. While working for LNR Properties, the largest special servicer to Commercial Mortgage Back Securities, Mr. Bartholomew realized there was void in the market where one title company, with one central point of contact, could coordinate and close complex real estate transactions throughout the United States. Mr. Bartholomew created Sun National Title & Escrow with the intent of delivering this National Platform with local service.
Mr. Bartholomew actively invests as a principal in hundreds of single family residences and multifamily apartments throughout Florida. He previously worked for LNR Property dealing with the Acquisitions, Asset Management, and REO Asset Management of B-Piece CMBS. During his tenure at LNR, he oversaw a portfolio of 25 CMBS deals totaling over $34 Billion and helped pioneer the conduit world’s first bulk note sale of over $1 Billion Dollars of face in Nevada in 2009.
Arthur has made Sun National Title & Escrow one of the preferred vendors of Institutional Lenders lending to single family home aggregators. His background in the conduit mortgage world made it a natural fit to specialize in closing multi-property, multi-state closings, and refinances.
Mr. Bartholomew graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Economics and minor in Mathematics. Mr. Bartholomew was previously a professional Soccer player playing domestically in the U.S. and in Europe. He is a licensed Florida Mortgage Broker, Title Agent, and Real Estate Broker.
David Bartholomew - Chief Compliance Officer, As Sun National TItle & Escrow's Chief Compliance Officer, David oversees Sun National’s compliance programs. He is charged with expanding Sun National’s current compliance programs to meet the stricter demands of today’s compliance environment. Currently, David specializes in working with lenders and Realtors to help prepare for the August 1, 2015 implementation of the CFPB’s New Loan estimate and Closing Disclosure.
He is responsible for regulatory compliance, audits, procedural standards along with assessment of potential risks and opportunities for industry innovation to benefit our clients. David prides himself in taking care of the risks at our level so our clients can, in turn, focus on their customer obligations and growing their business.
Included in his duties are implementation of improved employee and title agent training, licensing, audit programs designed to update and track adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures.
David graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairfield University with a BS in Business.
Lee Ramirez – Escrow Manger, Lee is the Escrow Manager at Sun National Title & Escrow. Lee is the point of contact for Lenders, Builders, Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, and Sellers. Lee helps educate and coordinate closings for all our clients and process their deals. This position includes an emphasis on actively collaborating and communicating with customers, lenders, and agents faced with new compliance requirements of the Dodd Frank Act and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Lee partners with our clients to help transition to the August 1, 2015 implementation of the CFPB’s New Loan estimate and Closing Disclosure. Lee’s goal is for a Lender and Borrower to never lose a rate lock or have clients have to re-disclose.
